Description
This Type 2 to Type 2 electric vehicle charging cable, 32A, single phase, 5m allows you to connect your electric vehicle (EV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) equipped with a Type 2 port to an EV charging station that is also equipped with a Type 2 output.
The cable supports single-phase connection with 32A power, which allows charging up to 7.2 kW. It is designed with aesthetics and functionality in mind, featuring an ergonomic handle for easy handling and seamless connectivity.
The 5 metre length is made from strong thermoplastic materials, providing flexibility and durability. The cable features an IP55 protection rating, meaning it is protected from dust and low pressure water jets from any direction, as well as being flame resistant, pressure, abrasion and shock resistant.
Instructions for using the Type 2 electric vehicle charging cable:
- Connect the male end of the Type 2 cable to the charging station.
- Connect the female end of the Type 2 cable to your vehicle's charging port.
- Make sure the connection is established before starting the boot session. Be sure to activate the charging station.
- To disconnect, always start by removing the cable from the vehicle and then from the charging point.
Storage instructions:
To preserve the performance and durability of your cable, store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in a storage bag. Avoid exposure to moisture, which can interfere with its functionality. If exposed to humid conditions, allow the cable to dry in a warm environment for 24 hours. Protect it from environmental elements, including sunlight, wind and rain, and prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt. Make sure the cable is stored neatly, without twisting or excessive bending.
This cable is intuitively designed for hassle-free operation and storage, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its IP55 protection rating ensures protection against dust ingress and water splash, contributing to its durability and safety.
Safety precautions:
- Before use, inspect the cable for any signs of damage or contamination.
- Do not use if the cable, vehicle port or charging socket is damaged or you have any doubts about their condition.
- Make sure both ends of the cable are clean and dry before connecting.
- Connect only to water and liquid protected vehicle ports.
- The charging process ends when the locking lever on the vehicle connector is operated, at which point it is safe to disconnect without applying force to avoid the risk of electric shock or injury. Charging station and vehicle specifications may affect the timing and disconnection process.
- Disconnect the cable before starting the vehicle. In case of smoke or melting, do not touch the product and try to stop the charging process as quickly as possible by pressing the emergency stop on the charging station.
- Keep the cable out of the reach of children.
