The Tesla Model Y Long Range is an electric SUV that offers an impressive combination of performance, safety, comfort and technology.

Performance

This model features an engine with a total output of 378 kW (514 hp), reaching 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and has a top speed of 217 km/h. With a total torque of 493 Nm and all-wheel drive (AWD), the Model Y delivers solid performance and handling.

Battery and Range

The vehicle has a lithium-ion battery with a nominal capacity of 78.1 kWh and a usable capacity of 75.0 kWh. With a total cell count of 4416 and an architecture of 400 V, it offers a range of up to 435 km on a single charge.

Charging

The Model Y has a Type 2 charging port and supports a maximum fast charging power of 250 kW DC, allowing a charge range of 44 to 348 km in about 27 minutes. Standard charging from an 11 kW AC home source requires about 8 hours and 15 minutes for a full charge.

Safety

This model has received high safety ratings from Euro NCAP, including 97% for adult protection, 87% for child protection, 79% for vulnerable road user protection and 98% for safety assistance systems.

Interior

The interior of the Model Y is simple and elegant, with a 15-inch touchscreen, immersive sound system and a large glass roof that creates extra headroom and offers uninterrupted views of the sky.

Exterior

The Model Y is distinguished by its interesting design, which is consistent with the design of the Model 3. The car is fitted with 19-inch wheels and has the option of 20-inch Induction wheels. All versions include LED headlights, folding side mirrors and a tinted glass roof. In terms of dimensions, the Model Y is slightly narrower but over twenty centimetres shorter than the Model X, with a length of around 475 centimetres, a width without mirrors of around 192 centimetres (with mirrors around 214 centimetres) and a height of around 162 centimetres. It comes in a limited palette of colours, with Pearl White and Midnight Silver Metallic as standard.
